Every day at Little Grasshoppers, a dedicated team of women comes together to create a warm, welcoming and inspiring place for children to learn, grow and feel secure.
Our team includes experienced early childhood teachers, educators, room leaders, cooks, administration staff and centre leaders. Each person brings her own skills, personality, knowledge and life experience to the centre, helping us provide thoughtful care and meaningful learning opportunities for every child.

Experience, Care and Connection

Early childhood education is about so much more than preparing activities or following a daily routine. It is about building trusted relationships and taking the time to understand each child as an individual.
Our educators celebrate every milestone, from a baby beginning to explore a new environment to an older child developing the confidence and independence needed for school. They are there for the exciting moments, the challenging days and all the small achievements in between.
Some members of our team have worked in early childhood education for many years, while others are beginning their careers and gaining valuable experience from the knowledgeable women around them. This combination of experience and new perspectives helps create a supportive workplace where educators can continue learning from one another.

Positive Role Models for Every Child

Children learn by observing the people around them. Our team demonstrates kindness, patience, confidence, resilience and teamwork throughout each day.
Whether they are helping children resolve a disagreement, encouraging them to try something new or supporting them as they build friendships, our educators provide positive examples of how to communicate, cooperate and care for others.
They encourage children to ask questions, express their ideas and believe in their own abilities. Most importantly, they create an environment where every child feels seen, heard and valued.

A Team That Supports Families

Strong relationships with families are an important part of the Little Grasshoppers approach.
Our team takes the time to listen, share updates and work alongside parents and carers to support each child’s routines, development and individual needs. These relationships provide consistency between home and the centre, helping children feel comfortable and confident throughout their day.
Families can feel reassured knowing there is an experienced and approachable team available to answer questions, offer support and celebrate their child’s progress.

More Than 35 Years of Local Care

Little Grasshoppers has been caring for children across the Mornington Peninsula for more than 35 years.
As a local, family owned early learning provider, we are proud of the strong community connections we have built during this time. Many of our educators live locally, raise their families locally and understand the communities our centres serve.
Behind every story, meal, learning experience, comforting cuddle and moment of encouragement is a remarkable woman helping to make a difference in a child’s day.
We are incredibly proud of the women who make Little Grasshoppers the welcoming and nurturing community it is today.
