Having recently moved to the Peninsula from the city, we were nervous about changing childcare and visited a few different centres but as soon as we met the Little Grasshoppers team and saw the facilities we loved it! Wonderful team of educators and staff and such a great environment for the kids. Recommend highly!

Purpose built in 2014, our Eramosa Road centre is our largest, offering 90 places for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

This generous space provides for bubs, toddlers and 3 & 4 year old Kinder rooms with plenty of breakout areas for multidisciplinary activities. In line with all Grasshoppers facilities our children enjoy their meals in a Separate Dining room and can relax with an educator for a quiet book in the adjoining library facilities.
Our main backyard, dotted with mature trees (including fruiting lemon for lemonade making!) will undergo a complete refurb in late 2023. Currently boasting a raised shade sailed area for outdoor crafts and meals alongside a fort and sandpit. It will soon offer the latest in early childhood climbing equipment, new surfaces, a sustainability pod and sandplay area.

For our Little Learners and Junior Big Inventors (2 – 3 year olds) our side play area offers a delightful tree lined esplanade with sustainability activities, outdoor play kitchen, obstacle course and a vintage red boat for imaginative play.
Our full-time, onsite cook provides 4 nutritious meals daily and seasonal age-appropriate ‘cooking’ activities are a highlight.
Our Funded Kindergarten program led by Qualified teachers, follows all areas of the Early Years Learning Framework and includes visual and performing arts, sustainability practices and cultural appreciation. Our Kinder children also enjoy a Community Engagement Program, visiting Somerville Retirement Village for a variety of structured and child-led intergenerational experiences.

Although I needed to move due to work commitments, I LOVED this centre. My little one still needed 2 naps a day and her room leader understood the assignment. She got her down twice a day without fail. Her mood in the afternoons was amazing and it made her transition to 1 nap so much easier as we would sneak in a 1 nap day here and there to test the waters incase she got overwhelmed.Babies room was just the absolute BEST.Well done ladies, keep up the amazing work.

As a first time mum everyone at Little Grasshoppers Eramosa welcomed and guided us through the transition into the world of daycare. From the centre director to the room staff we couldn’t be happier. Very excited for our second child to be joining the grasshopper family soon!
