Little Grasshoppers is a family owned and operated business with a hands on approach. We are committed to making every child’s experience at Little Grasshoppers a positive one. We are available at all times to help parents with the transition into childcare and throughout our journey together.
Little Grasshoppers is an exciting and comprehensive facility professionally designed with great care and thought for the needs of babies and young children. Separate rooms and modern outdoor play areas are specifically designed for the age, abilities and maturity of the children.
At Little Grasshoppers, we believe children learn through play. Our programs are based on the Early Years Learning Framework Guidelines and it is imperative that the framework is be used in partnership with families, and educators to develop learning programs responsive to children’s ideas, interests, strengths and abilities. We integrate kindergarden into our long daycare environment to offer your child sessions that prepare them for school. We work closely with the school your child will attend to make sure the transition is smooth and your child’s teacher is familiar with their needs and interests.
The safety and wellbeing of children is never far from the media spotlight. Parents leaving their child in our care can rest assured that every practical step has been taken to ensure their safety.
Access to the centre is made through an electronically secured door with individual pin codes allowing family’s secure entry at all times, whilst visitors to the centre face a locked door. Authorised persons only are to collect children unless otherwise arranged. We undertake risk assessments on our planned activities, keeping everyone safe at all times.

Our Bright Minds Program
Through joyful activities, we empower children to build confidence, unleash creativity, and make choices in self-expression. As they dance, sing, and play, they develop crucial listening skills and explore elements of their identity through imaginative role play. The program also nurtures early literacy with rhyming, patterns, and sound recognition.
Our educators understand the importance of expanding horizons for children, taking them beyond the familiar realms of family and center. Through initiatives like Bush Kinder, Community Explore, and Intergenerational Connections, our centers offer a rich tapestry of Community Engagement opportunities.
Through running, jumping, crawling, and engaging in activities that involve throwing and catching, we not only make physical activity fun but also contribute to the development of coordination, balance, strength, and overall fitness in our children.
Contrastingly, we understand the importance of stillness. Deep breathing exercises and meditative moments provide our children with tools to manage emotions, reduce stress, and develop self-awareness, laying the foundation for a balanced and healthy mindset.
In this ever-evolving world, instilling environmental consciousness and sustainable living is essential. OUR WORLD is designed to cultivate a generation not only aware of their environment but also dedicated to creating a positive impact on the planet.
Through engaging activities like composting, gardening-to-kitchen experiences, recycling efforts, and caring for animals, our children learn and practice the 7 R’s of sustainability: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Respect, Repair, Reflect, and Refuse.
